چکیده
D-Transposition of great arteries with an aortopulmonary window is a rare congenital anomaly. We describe a case of D-Transposition of great arteries with an aortopulmonary window and multiple ventricular septal defects in a 5-month boy who underwent successful surgical repair.

Nikaidoh Procedure for Situs Inversus and Transposition of Great Arteries with Ventricular Septal Defect and Pulmonary Stenosis
We present the case of a patient who underwent a Nikaidoh procedure for total correction of transposition of the great arteries (TGA), ventricular septal defect (VSD), and pulmonary stenosis (PS). A young girl, 2 years and 4 months of age, weighing 3400 g at birth, was diagnosed with TGA, VSD, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), and left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO), with valvular ...
متن کاملSurgical Repair of Aortopulmonary Window in Infants
Background: Aortopulmonary window is a rare congenital heart defect resulting from a communication between the main pulmonary artery and the ascending aorta. Surgical closure is indicated in all patients with aortopulmonary window and should be performed at the time of diagnosis to prevent irreversible pulmonary vascular disease. Methods: From 1990 to 2002, 4 infants with aortopulmonary window ...

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES Aortopulmonary septal defect is an uncommon congenital cardiac anomaly. To date, approximately 300 cases have been reported. We present our experience, emphasizing the importance of early correction to avoid irreversible pulmonary hypertension. PATIENTS AND METHOD Between 1979 and 2000, seven patients underwent surgical repair of this heart defect in our hospital. ...
متن کاملTranscatheter Treatment of Large Aortopulmonary Window: A Case Report.
INTRODUCTION Aortopulmonary window (APW), a large aortopulmonary septal defect (APSD), is a serious and rare defect within congenital heart diseases. CASE REPORT In this study, we reported an APW case with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. This patient was successfully treated by transcatheter closure with a muscular ventricular septal defect (VSD) occluder. CONCLUSION We had a succes...
متن کاملSurgical management of pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collaterals: a protocol-based approach.
Historically, outcomes of pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collaterals have been quite poor. Over the past 15 years, our group has strived to apply a consistent surgical strategy for this lesion based on two guiding principles: early unifocalization of all important collaterals; and the early establishment of a low-pressure pulmonary arterial bed, prefer...
